Project Inclusion Application
Project Inclusion is a board governance leadership and development program sponsored by United Way of South Hampton Roads designed to advance diversity and inclusion on the boards of local nonprofits and institutions. Project Inclusion prepares participants to serve on local boards and commissions by sharpening leadership and management skills and growing their professional networks.
Program Details
We are pleased to offer a comprehensive 13-week program focused on board leadership and governance, running from February 10 to May 5, 2026, with graduation on the final day. The classes will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. This program includes a mix of lectures, projects, and discussions designed to cover various aspects of board leadership and governance. Participants are required to attend all weekly sessions and actively participate in discussions and projects to complete the coursework. We look forward to your engagement in this enriching program aimed at enhancing your skills and knowledge in board leadership and governance.

This is a 13-week, In-person program that meets every Tuesday from 3:30-5:30pm The fee includes required coursework and active participation. Attendance will be tracked weekly, and participants must attend at least 80% of sessions to successfully complete the program. In addition, you should plan for 10–15 hours outside of class to complete the group project, assigned readings, and class discussions. 👉 Before enrolling, please confirm: Are you able to commit to this time requirement?
